Justin Bieber's Recent Legal Woes Could Compromise Travel Plans

Justib Bieber's growing legal troubles may cause more issues than the pop -star first initially thought.

The 19 year-old is at risk of being restricted to travelling outside of North America if convicted of his recent charges.

Earlier in the week Bieber was charged with assaulting a limo driver in his native Canada. On Wednesday (Jan 29th), the 'Baby' singer surrendered to Toronto police to face the assault charge.

The incident occurred on Dec 29th, 2013 after he and friends attended Toronto Maple Leafs game.

TMZ recently reported that the attack was triggered by a dispute over the volume of the radio, Bieber wanted the radio louder, and when the driver did not comply, a physical altercation occurred.

Prior to this Justin was arrested in Miami on Jan 23rd after local police officers discovered him drag racing in a residential area while under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

He was charged with resisting arrest without violence, drag racing, three charges of DUI and driving without a valid license.

The 'Believe' hit maker is also still at the center of a vandalism case after an egg-throwing incident left his neighbors home, in the gated community of Calabasas, severely damaged.

Although the singer hasn't been convicted of any of the charges yet, but if he does, the judge's ruling will determine if Bieber can travel internationally.

Andrew Flier, a successful criminal defense attorney, told the Associated Press that following a conviction, immigration issues become a nightmare to deal with.

"Multiple convictions even on misdemeanors could be troublesome to the non-citizen," Flier said.

Stan Goldman, a professor at Los Angeles' Loyola Law School, also told AP, "The fact that you've got three is a heck of a lot worse than one."
