Justin Bieber has issued his second apology for racist language in a week. The Canadian singer was filmed joking about joining the Ku Klux Klan. Bieber said he needed to "take responsibility" for his mistakes and "not let them linger." He later posted on Instagram a photograph of passages from the Bible - seemingly asking for forgiveness.

"I thought it was OK to repeat hurtful words and jokes, but didn't realize at the time that it wasn't funny and that in fact my actions were continuing the ignorance," he said.

Despite the leaked videos, the 20-year-old has been backed by the likes of Lil Wayne, Birdman and the rest of the Young Money Entertainment crew. President Mack Maine told TMZ.com that everyone on the label has interacted with Bieber and there's not bad blood.

"Bieber does not have a slave mentality.  He treats his people with respect" said Maine, adding that Justin has "legitimately adopted the culture of the hip hop, African American culture."

Maine added that everyone in the Young Money camp believes Bieber's age at the time of the remarks is highly relevant.

"I remember telling a white man, Chinese man, Black man joke as a kid that was terrible and I told it to my friends because I thought they'd think it was funny," he noted.

Apparently Justin told both Usher and Will Smith about the videos as he began to break into the music industry, saying he knew it was a stupid thing to do. Usher took him into a room and showed him historically racist videos to hammer home the point.

Bieber's team say various people have tried to extort him over the last few years, demanding money for the videos.
