Who wants to be the Ant-Man more? That’s what it might come down to. Trouble is, being the Ant Man is pretty cool, so we’re guessing the two hopefuls, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Paul Rudd might actually have to lift 100-times their own weight – like ants can – to prove they’re good enough.

Joseph Gordon-LevittJoseph Gordon Levitt would be our favorite to play Ant-Man

That won’t actually happen, but film casting is probably quite a long and boring process; perhaps subjecting the hopefuls to the strenuous or weird tasks their prospective characters have to do is the way forward. Although, that might lead to some bad murders. Maybe that’s a whole film in itself. Who should we cast for it?

Sorry.

So Gordon-Levitt and Paul Rudd are in line to play Ant-Man in Avengers sequel Age of Ultron. The cast is pretty much complete, but there are a few holes left to fill. It’s a big gig if you can get it – Marvel’s The Avengers is the biggest grossing film of all time, which pretty much nails the title on for its sequel.

We’d probably give Gordon-Levitt the edge because of his comic book pedigree. He appeared in the Dark Knight, with rumors abounding that he’ll adopt the role of Robin in the future should the franchise call for it.

Paul RuddPaul Rudd usually sticks to quirky comedies

Although, perhaps that very same pedigree – combined with his recent upgrade to star director with Don Jon – will put him off the role as he looks to pursue bigger things. The move would represent somewhat of a departure for Rudd, 44, who has mainly appeared in smaller comedies and drams throughout his career.
