The Sony leak has thrown up some pretty tasty titbits in recent days - most notably Scott Rudin ripping into Angelina Jolie and Marvel trying to enlist Spider-Man for Captain America 3: Civil War. However, now comes the funny, stupid stuff.

Joel McHale

The fourth round of leaks came as the hackers, known as the Guardians of Peace, spilled Sony Pictures Television president Steve Mosko's emails all over the net. One interesting exchange related to the cult series Community getting cancelled on May 9 after five seasons on air. The show has since returned for a fresh series, though at the time, star Joel McHale was pretty angry. So angry that he wanted a discount on a massive Sony TV.

"Hello Fayanne [Mosko's assistant], It's Joel McHale. You might remember me from such canceled Sony tv shows as-Community. Sad. Very sad," the actor wrote in his email.

"So when I was talking to Steve about the show ending last Friday, I asked about a discount on a Sony tv. He said of course. He's the greatest as you know. I didn't want to bother him with the specific details of the screen I want so I thought I would bother you. I hope that is it [sic] cool."

"It's below. You can check with Steve obviously if this all sounds strange."

"I'm not sure how this all works but I'm happy to send a credit card number wherever necessary."

"Thanks Fayanne. I'm very much going to miss working at Sony."

The TV that McHale was asked for was a 65" 4K Ultra HD Sony TV which retailed for $7999.99.

After receiving the email, Mosko requested that the television be purchased for the actor.

"how much is it? just get it...put it against community, deal w money later," he said.

A final sixth season of Community is scheduled to debut in January on Yahoo Screen. And McHale got his TV.
