Academy Award-winning actor and singer Jared Leto has been sporting a rather lengthy beard as of late, but when he stopped by the 'Tonight Show' on Wednesday (Aug 20th), host Jimmy Fallon offered to give the 42 year-old's facial hair a much needed trim.

During the interview Fallon advised Leto to "take the beard down a notch," which seemed perfect timing as the 30 Seconds to Mars frontman replied, "I have been asked to do some resurrections lately."

The chat show's emcee clearly starlet his guest after informing Leto, "I have the clippers right here, if you don't mind." The actor nervously replied, "Right here, right now-holy s--t! Have you ever done this before?"

The hair-trimming segment came about after Leto spoke about the attention his long locks receive, and even revealed that he frequently gets compared to Jesus Christ. But for the time being, the multitalented star's beard isn't going anywhere as he admitted, "I'm very attached to it."

The 'Requiem For A Dream' actor also told Fallon that he had been letting his hair grow since this past March's Academy Awards, after his big Best Supporting Actor win for portraying Rayon, a HIV-positive transgender woman, in 'Dallas Buyers Club.'

However, Leto recently revealed that, despite receiving critical acclaim for his role, he still hasn't seen the film!

"I can't hear that voice! I've never really heard very much of it and I've never watched the film. I will at some point, I'm sure. But too soon!" he said in a Times Talks interview. "It can never live up to the expectations I would have of it now because it was such a beautiful experience and the response that it got was really wonderful."
