Jessica Simpson Weds Former NFL Player Eric Johnson In Southern California Ceremony
Singer married fiancee in front of friends and family on July 5th
Jessica Simpson and her partner of four years, former NFL player Eric Johnson are now a married couple, after tying the knot yesterday, (July 5th).
The ceremony took place in front of 250 guests at the San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, California. Friends and family of the happy couple were in attendance, including their two children, son Ace and daughter Maxwell.
Jessica’s sister Ashlee acted as bridesmaid, reports US Weekly, while her son Bronx and fiancee Evan Ross were also in attendance. The bride walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of Chris Isaak's 'Wicked Game’, while wearing a Carolina Herrera gown according to sources.
In a statement, the couple told People magazine they were “overwhelmed with complete happiness and love having made our eternal commitment.” Adding, "To say 'I do' in front of family, friends and, most importantly, our children has been the happiest moment of our lives." Jessica and Eric had been dating for four years after being introduced by mutual friends.
Plenty of famous friends of the couple attended the ceremony including ‘That 70s Show’ star Topher Grace, actress Jessica Alba and ‘Scrub’s’ Donald Faison.
This is the second marriage for both Simpson and Johnson. Simpson previously married 98 Degrees star Nick Lachey in 2002, but the couple separated three years later after starring in MTV reality show, ‘Newlyweds.’ While Johnson was previously married to stylist Keri Johnson from 2005 to October 2010, as Us Weekly reports.
