Jay-Z Left Impressed After 12 Year-Old Joins Him On Stage And Raps [Video]
A young rapper was invited on stage with Jay Z after the rapper saw an audience sign that read, "Can I rap for you?"
Jay-Z may have just thought he was making a 12 year-old boy's dream come true after inviting him onstage in Greensboro, N.C.
The hip-hop mogul was performing to a packed out stadium on Sunday night (Jan 5th) for his 'Magna Carta' world tour when he spotted a youngster holding a sign that read, "Can I rap for you?"
'The Blueprint' hit maker told the boy, named Justin, "Step up to the big stage big man, you made it," as he was making his way to center stage.
"You got something to say to the people? You do? You don't need no music?" Jay Z said, appearing shocked at the boy's confidence.
After taking a few deep breaths, Justin began rapping an acapella verse from the track 'Clique'.
Although the rendition of Jay's song was radio friendly, Hov did have to cut the boy off at one point so he would stay clear of any offensive lyrics that aren't suitable for a 12 year-old.
The 44 year-old told him to miss out "the drug dealing part" of the song and "go back to the numbers."
Justin did as he was told and tore the house down as he continued to rap, the young boy was met with a huge cheers from the crowd and a hug from his idol.
"After all that, he said, 'Can I meet you backstage?'" Jay Z revealed Justin said as they hugged.
"Yes you can, just because of the nerve," the Brooklyn-born rapper said.
"I feel like this is like a gameshow," he joked. "And for your grand prize you get to meet Jay Z backstage, please step down.
