Jada Pinkett-Smith Blasts Media Over Reports On Dauhgter's 'Controversial' Photo
The 42 year-old actress came to her daughter's defence and said the media is acting like "covert pedophiles," when reporting on the photograph of her daughter Willow and Moises Arias.
Jada Pinkett-Smith finally addressed the controversy surrounding a recent photograph her daughter, Willow Smith, was in with 20 year-old actor Moises Arias.
But it was only the media who are in the wrong in this instance.
The 42 year-old actress rushed to her daughter's defence over the media's coverage of the snap and adamantly stated there is nothing sexual about it.
The photo shows a 13 Year-old Willow laid in bed with Arias, who was shirtless.
Since it surfaced there have been several reports questioning the nature of the pic and speculation has begun over the nature of their relationship.
However, Pinkett-Smith, who is married to Will Smith, spoke with TMZ last Wednesday (May 7th) at Los Angeles International Airport and branded the reporters as "covert pedophiles."
"Here's the deal: There was nothing sexual about that picture or that situation," she said to the paparazzo. "You guys are projecting your trash onto it and you're acting like covert pedophiles, and that's not cool."
Arias, who starred in 'Hannah Montana,' is already good friends with Willow's bother, Jaden, and it is clear from his Tumblr page that he is also close to Kendall and Kyle Jenner, as they are all photographed hanging out together at recent events like Coachella.
Even if Will and Jada were not pleased over the photograph, it is unlikely that they would have punished Willow. Last year the former 'Fresh Prince of Bel Air' star opened up about their parenting strategy and why they "don't do punishment."
"We don't do punishment," he told Metro in April 2013. "The way that we deal with our kids is, they are responsible for their lives. Our concept is, as young as possible, give them as much control over their lives as possible and the concept of punishment, our experience has been -- it has a little too much of a negative quality ... you can do anything you want as long as you can explain to me why that was the right thing to do for your life."
Willow Smith's relationship with Moises Arias was questioned whe the photo surfaced
