Hillary Duff has called in the FBI after faked nude photos of the singer surfaced online on Friday (September 6th). The pictures, which show a woman’s naked body from the neck down, were found out to be faked because they do not have Duff's “defining birthmarks or tattoos”, her representative has stated.

In the week in which hundreds of celebrities including Jennifer Lawrence fell victim to an online hacker, a new batch of photographs have appeared online including a set which claimed to be of Hillary Duff.

However the singer has confirmed via her rep that the photos are fake and what’s more, she’s called in the FBI. “Photos claiming to be Hilary Duff are completely fake. They are all from the neck down and absolutely fake.  They do not have Hilary’s defining birthmarks or tattoos”  her publicist told Hollywood Life.

The singer’s representative also told the New York Daily News that the “FBI has been alerted that these photos are fake,” adding that “legal recourse” will be taken to anyone who states otherwise.

Earlier this week over 100 celebrities had intimate photos published online, including Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton. The FBI is said to currently be investigating the leak and trying to hunt down the anonymous hacker. It is thought that the ‘hacker’ managed to access the pictures after breaking into the stars iCloud accounts.
