Harrison Ford Could Be Out Of Action For Eight Weeks Following 'Star Wars Episode VII' Accident
It's feared that due to his broken ankle Harrison Ford could miss up to eight weeks of filming for 'Star Wars: Episode VII.'
Star Wars film producers are worried that Harrison Ford could miss up to eight weeks of filming. The actor, who is reprising his role as Han Solo in Star Wars Episode VII, was injured on set last week when it was reported that a door from the Millennium Falcon spacecraft fell on top of him during filming.

Ford was airlifted from Pinewood Studios to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, where he is currently resting and receiving medical care. His wife Calista Flockhart flew over from the States to be by his side and help his recovery.
It's been confirmed that the 71-year-old actor has a broken ankle and is expected to be released from hospital any time now. A source involved with the making of the movie explained: “The initial day or two after the accident it was hard to move things around but now we have had more time we can juggle things, bring some scenes forward and push others back. There are lots of other actors in the movie so it is not a disaster. We are still confident the film can stay on schedule. At the moment it looks like Harrison is going to be off set for 6-8 weeks but the main priority is making sure he is OK.”

It has been reported that producers are hoping Ford can still film scenes in which he appears from the "waist up" until he has fully recovered. A spokesperson for the movie said that they are “Hoping to announce some good news soon.”
