What's Next For Gwyneth Paltrow And Chris Martin?
Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin have "consciously uncoupled", but what now for their careers?
Since the news of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s split, the couple has been all that the internet can talk about. We’re guilty of this ourselves, we were shocked and saddened to hear of the pair’s decision to “consciously uncouple” (although, we have to admit, the term they used did provoke a brief eyebrow raise).
Paltrow and Martin have split after 10 years of marriage
They may have decided to go their separate ways, but what are those ways and where are they both headed now? Other than their decision to "co-parent", it seems like the the pair will be headed in totally different directions.
Gwyneth had given a few interviews before the announcement of her divorce explaining what she plans to do over the coming months. Gwyneth explained to E! News, “I just finished a movie in January that I was doing at the end of last year in London with Johnny Depp, and then I had two weeks here, and then I did a couple of episodes for ‘Glee’ for the 100th episode...So I have to back to mommy.” We’re pleased to hear that Paltrow plans on focusing on her two children, Apple and Moses, for a while, we can imagine that they’re probably going through a tough time with news of their parents’ split.
Gwyneth added, “I have a rule about one movie a year, so I can’t shoot anything for a while, but I’m developing some material and working on the site (Goop) and raising kids.” Spending some time with her children and working on Goop sounds like some good, wholesome downtime to us, just what’s called for to recover and get back on track from the end of her marriage.
The Coldplay singer has plenty on the horizon with his band
Chris hasn’t exactly been lazing around on the sofa or hitting the bars like most men on the verge of divorce. Not long after the news of their split set the internet on fire, it was revealed that as of next week the Coldplay frontman would be appearing as a guest special advisor on BBC’s talent show The Voice. Also on the horizon is Coldplay’s sixth studio album, Ghost Stories, which is due out for release in May. The first single off the album, Magic, was released on 3rd March and the second single, Midnight, is due for release in April.
We wonder if there will be any Adele style songs on the album, or if you don’t go through the regular motions of writing depressing heartbreak songs when you decide to “consciously uncouple” instead of just plain old splitting up?
