Experience Sun, Sand And Sensational Sounds At Hangout Festival 2014

Alabama's sun-soaked, sold-out Hangout Music Fest begins officially today (May 16th 2014) following yesterday's kick-off party - and there's almost too much fun to take in.

Set against the glorious backdrop of Gulf Shores' pure white beaches, this festival truly is the place to 'hang out' this weekend with top headliners The Black Keys, The Killers, Outkast and Jack Johnson leading the talent-studded bill. Acts such as Jack Antonoff's latest project Bleachers, CLASSIXX and Bonobo's DJ set went down a storm at the Discover Great Thursday Kickoff Party, but don't worry if you missed it because things are getting even better over the rest of the weekend.

Kicking off the Friday schedule is The Black Keys over on the Hangout Stage, who have just unveiled their eighth album 'Turn Blue' so festival goers will no doubt be getting a taste of that. Queens of the Stone Age follow on the Chevrolet Stage and, just to get your feet moving around the venue because there are six awesome stages to check out, Nashville five-piece Wild Cub will be entertaining on the BMI Stage. Some entertainment from across the pond soon follows in the form of UK rockers The 1975, whose popularity has sky-rocketed since they burst onto the scene last year with their debut self-titled album.

Rock out with The Killers on Saturday morning

Saturday probably holds the most excitement, but now it gets a little bit difficult to juggle. The Killers and Pretty Lights clash as they begin the day on the Hangout Stage and in the Boom Boom Tent respectively; so you've got a choice to dance the morning away or rock out for a bit. There's quite a mix in the afternoon with psychedelic rock from The Flaming Lips, infectious tunes from Fitz and the Tantrums and off-the-scale hip hop from Chance The Rapper, and later indie duo Wild Belle and electronic artist Robert DeLong will feature on the BMI and Boom Boom.

The Hangout Stage and Chevrolet are really the places to be on Sunday, with Outkast continuing their festival circuit with their opening set on the former stage and Jack Johnson providing some chilled out vibes on the latter. Chevrolet plays host to Bastille later on, while Hangout sees The Avett Brothers and Capital Cities. If anywhere else needs an audience on the Sunday, Tom Odell will be over on the Palladia Stage with his brand of UK pop.

Hangout begins very soon so get yourselves down there now. Ticket holders will no doubt have an amazing time dancing in the sun and experiencing some of the best international artists pop has to offer.
