Eminem's Daughter Crowned Homecoming Queen And Dad Was There To See It
Daddy's little girl wins Homecoming Queen!
Eminem's daughter, Halie Scott, was crowned Homecoming Queen at her high school by the faculty and student body.
The ceremony took place at Chippewa Valley High School in Michigan and the 17 year-olds rap superstar father attended the whole event.
According to local newspaper Morcomb Daily, Hailie was joined by Homecoming King Tyler Knepp as "the Big Reds defeated Anchor Bay High School at Chippewa Valley's stadium in Clinton Township".
Several parents told the newspaper Eminem wanted to watch the football game and ceremony from a classroom inside the high school.
One parent who attended but didn't want to be named said, "Hailie came out with her mother Kim (Scott) when she was introduced with all the other kids but her father watched from inside the school because he didn't want to cause a scene -- he wanted Hailie to have her own moment."
Another parent added, "He opened the door and looked out like - 'That's my daughter!' He just looked like a proud father".
The president of the Chippewa Valley Board of Education, George Sobah, stated "I heard our people had him in the cafeteria so he could see what was going on outside, but I can't confirm that".
After the pair were crowned, they rode in the school's parade in a convertible, showing off their achievement.
Parents who attended were quick to reiterate that Hailie winning Homecoming Queen had nothing to do with her father's status and described her as smart, athletic and caring. "I think all of the kids in the district have shown respect to their family and just let her live a normal life here out of the spotlight,"one parent said. "I think that speaks very highly of the Chippewa Valley community to not try to take advantage of their fame".
Eminem's 8th studio album called 'The Marshall Mathers LP 2' is set for release on November 5th 2013. It contains his new track 'Berzerk' that went straight to No.2 on the Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
