Well, back to the drawing board for Discovery. It's probably for the best.
Um, if you have some kind of phobia of snakes or reptiles, you might wanna skip this next bit. You have been warned. So you know that guy who was “eaten alive” by a snake? Yeah, well that was kinda fake. Not entirely fake, just a little tiny bit... mostly fake.
Here, have a bit of NOPE. With a side of NOPE NOPE NOPE and some NOPE on top.
Lemme explain. It was all for the Discovery Channel’s newest and weirdest programme, aptly titled Eaten Alive. Yes, this is the level of entertainment the public now accepts. The premise is simple enough: dude (Paul Rosolie, conservationist and suspected nutter) slathers himself in pig’s blood and tries to convince Big Scary Snake to eat him alive. After mama-conda seems uninterested, he tries to provoke her into eating him. By getting her as angry as possible. You can see the results in the video above, but you’ve probably guessed for yourselves already. For a history of Discovery's other failed attempts, read below.

Don’t worry, Rosolie was unharmed (he gave in and called a rescue team in the end,) but before that he did apparently feel “the suit cracking” and his “arms ripping out of their sockets. If you’re going to watch the footage, beware – it is genuinely terrifying.
