'Fast & Furious 6' DVD Sales To Be Donated To Paul Walker's Charity
Universal Pictures will donate part of the DVD sales for 'Fast & Furious 6' to honour Paul Walker, following his tragic death on Saturday (Nov 30th).
Paul Walker's sudden and devastating death last Saturday (Nov 30th) is still heart-breaking to many of his fans, family and friends around the world.
In honour of the 'Fast and the Furious' film franchise, Universal are donating part of the proceeds from 'Fast & Furious 6' DVD sales to Walker's charity 'Reach Out Worldwide'.
The 'Pleasantville' actor started the non-profit aid organisation after he returned from a trip to Haiti in 2010, shortly after the country was devastated by massive earthquake.
ROWW defines itself as "a network of professionals with first responder skill-sets who augment local expertise when natural disasters strike in order to accelerate relief efforts."
"With the passing of Paul, the world has lost a man who spent a great deal of his life in service to others. We share in the deep grief of his family, friends and the countless fans who love him," said Universal Pictures chairman Donna Langley, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
"We keep Paul's memory alive and honor his legacy through continued support of Reach Out WorldWide, the nonprofit he founded to give hope to those who must rebuild after they have experienced natural disasters," he continued.
Walker was the passenger when he died in a car crash on Saturday (Nov 30th) in Southern California. The actor was taking a break from filming 'Fast & Furious 7' for Thanksgiving and was attending a charity event in Santa Clarita when the fatal crash happened.
He was 40 years old.
'Fast & Furious 6' will be available on Blu-ray, DVD, digital and VOD on Dec 10th 2013, his family have asked for anyone who wishes to make a donation, go to the ROWW website.
