BBC Warns Fans NOT TO WATCH Capaldi's Leaked First "Doctor Who" Episode

What’s with all the gaps in security around Doctor Who recently? After several scripts for the show’s eighth seasons were leaked, now a full episode has found its way online. It’s a rough cut of the first episode off the season, Deep Breath and was leaked during the same BBC Worldwide security breach that also resulted in five leaked scripts for upcoming episodes , RTE reports. Which begs the question, did someone really hack through BBC security just to leak some DW content? Apparently there’s a reason some fans refer to themselves as Wholigans.

Peter Capaldi, Jenna Coleman
This is your first chance to see a full episode with Capaldi as the Doctor, but you absolutely should not do it, of course.

The clip in question is a black and white rough cut of the episode. Commenting on the latest revelations, a BBC Worldwide spokesperson said: "This is part of BBC Worldwide's ongoing security investigation into leaked unfinished Doctor Who materials.”

Apparently the leak has already been contained, but the problem is that materials, which have already been lost are now making their way online. The spokesperson didn’t clarify if there was anything else released during the breach.

"This content is currently being removed and originates from the same Miami server we disabled last week, it is not a new issue.”

As far as spoilers go, the motto stays the same: If you’ve seen anything, keep it to yourselves, DW fans. Ideally, the Beeb would like for you to not see it at all, but even they seem aware that it’s not a realistic expectation.

"We'd like to thank the amazing Doctor Who fans who are continuing to keep fansites and social media spoiler-free but would remind anyone downloading and sharing this material that it is illegal to do so."

In lieu of the leaked episode, here's that latest trailer the Beeb released to calm the masses.
