Pastor Kevin Swanson of the Reformation Church claims Disney's smash hit family movie Frozen encourages homosexuality and bestiality. Just give yourself a couple of seconds to soak up that argument. Ok - now you're back in the room.

Pastor Swanson, who also hosts a Christian radio show in Colorado, insists he is not your average "tinfoil hat conspiratorialist" described the movie - which sees a young girl teaming up with a hilarious snowman named Olaf for a frosty adventure - is "very evil".

"You wonder sometimes if maybe there's something very evil happening here," he said. "I wonder if people are thinking: 'You know I think this cute little movie is going to indoctrinate my 5-year-old to be a lesbian or treat homosexuality or bestiality in a light sort of way'."

Swanson went onto attack Disney, claiming that if he were the Devil wanting to do something "really, really, really evil" to young children in Christian families, then he would have bought the studio "in 1984".

It's probably worth noting that Swanson also believes that all Christians will one day be burned at the stake by homosexuals.

His rant appears to be inspired by the film critic Steven D Greydanus, who wrote a blog post entitled 'So, How Gay Is Disney's Frozen' on the National Catholic Register. In it, he argues that the Oscar winner song Let It Go by Idina Menzel (or Adele Dazeem if you're John Travolta) effectively shows Elsa "celebrating her acceptance of her true identity" and "coming out".

Greydanus also points out that the movie's "Fixer Upper Song' - about hunter Kristoff's relationship with Sven the reindeer - promotes bestiality. He says "His thing with the reindeer/That's a little outside of nature's laws!"

Frozen, which won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature earlier this month, has taken over $1 billion at the global box office.
