The host of CBS' 'Late Late Show' announced he will departing from his current job in December.
Craig Ferguson has had his own late night talk show for over a decade, so he definitely know what he is talking about when it comes to being a host, in fact the Scottish comedian was even gracious enough to give an up and coming host, Seth Meyers, a stern warning about the job.
Ferguson stopped by NBC's 'Late Night' on Tuesday night (Sept 16th)
Ferguson, who is leaving his position on CBS' 'Late Late Show' in December,' stopped by NBC's 'Late Night with Seth Meyers' on Tuesday night (Sept 16th) and described how this job can make you "go crazy," as well as bizarrely recalling being in a rock band with 'Doctor Who' star, Peter Capaldi.

"People ask me how to get into late night and I don't know," Ferguson told Meyers. "When the rest of the guys were at Emerson or Harvard . I was taking acid in the back of the band with the guy who plays the Doctor."
Towards the end of the short interview, Ferguson did congratulate the 'Saturday Night Live' alum on his new chat show gig, and wished him good luck.
"You're a class act and I really hope you enjoy a good long, happy run," he said, "but you'll go crazy."

James Corden will be the new host of CBS's 'Late Late Show'
Ferguson, who began working on the 'Late Late Show' in 2005, announced that he will be departing from CBS in April, noting his current contract will expire in December 2014 after a ten year-run. CBS have since confirmed British comedic actor James Corden is the new host, and he will take the helm of the late-night talk show early next year.
"I can't describe how thrilled and honored I am to be taking over from the brilliant Craig Ferguson," Corden said at the time. "To be asked to host such a prestigious show on America's #1 network is hugely exciting. I can't wait to get started, and will do my very best to make a show America will enjoy."
