R ’n’ B star escaped jail but will also have to complete 360 hours of community service.
Cee-Lo Green has been sentenced to three years probation and 360 hours of community service after pleading no contest to the charge of ‘furnishing a controlled substance’. The former judge on ‘The Voice’ appeared in court on Friday to answer the charges which stem from a July 2012 incident where he was accused of secretly slipping ecstasy into the drink of a 33 year old female during a dinner date.

According to TMZ as part of the ‘no contest plea’ entered by Green the ‘Forget You’ singer admitted to sharing ecstasy with the female but said he did not "slip" her the drug as she had originally claimed.
The site also reports that the woman was no stranger to CeeLo, saying they had been "dating for months" and that witnesses in the bar claimed they had seen her walking out "looking fine."
When the allegations first surfaced a rep for the singer had released a statement saying, "We are confident that when all the facts come out, it will be clear that if anyone was victimised here, it was Cee Lo. In the meantime, Cee Lo is deeply grateful for the overwhelming support he has received from his fans, his friends, and his colleagues."
Rolling Stone reports that the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office confirmed that after entering the no contest plea Green was “immediately sentenced by Superior Court Judge Mark Young to three years of formal probation and ordered to complete 360 hours of community service."
In addition to his community service, Green will also have to complete 52 Alcohol / Narcotics Anonymous meetings and return to court for a progress report in March 2015.
