Carrie Underwood Is Expecting First Child With Husband Mike Fisher
This will be the 'American Idol' alum and her NHL star husband's first child together.
Carrie Underwood is pregnant! The 31 year-old singer and her NHL player husband Mike Fisher are expecting their first child together, and fisher announced the exciting news herself on Monday (Sept 1st) via social media.
The 'American Idol' alum shared an adorable photograph on Instagram of her two pet dogs wearing "I'm going to be a big brother" and "I'm going to be a big sister" matching shirts, with the caption, "In honor of "Labor" Day, Ace & Penny would like to make an announcement. Their parents couldn't be happier..."
The father-to-be also took to Twitter to re-tweet Underwood's announcement, and on the same day he jokingly wrote, "We haven't picked names yet but it's looking like Fly is gonna fly. #boyorgirl #flyfisher."
A source close to the happy couple confirmed the news to Us Weekly, telling the mag, "They couldn't be happier to be starting a family."
There is no doubt that Underwood will be overjoyed by becoming pregnant, especially since she told Self Magazine several years ago that she cannot wait to start a family. "Two kids is good; three is fine. Four? Somebody's getting something done, because we ain't having five!" she admitted.
This will be the first child for Carrie and Mike
The Grammy Award-winner and her beau, who tied the knot in a Southern style wedding in Georgia in 2010, just finished celebrating their fourth wedding anniversary in July.
Congratulations to the soon-to-be parents.
