Bryce Dallas Howard has been offered a role in Jurassic World. The daughter of Ron Howard, the Oscar winning director of such films as A Beautiful Mind, Dallas Howard is no stranger to appearing in big budget films after featuring in Terminator: Salvation and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse

Jurassic World will continue the franchise created by Steven Spielberg in 1993. The last film of the franchise to be released was in 2001. Jurassic Park was, for a number of years, the highest grossing film of all time, gaining $970 million worldwide. Since then, according to The Wrap, the last three films have raked in a whopping $1.9 billion. 

Universal Studios are behind the film, due to be released on 2015. They have been in talks with Dallas Howard since May, as reported by Variety. The film has been issued with a released date of 12th June 2015 and the production is evidently picking up speed now a date has been officially set. One other actor, in a major role, is due to be cast before pre-production can begin.

The film will be directed by Colin Trevorrow, best known for producing and directing Safety Not Guaranteed. Trevorrow co-wrote the script with Derek Connolly, with whom he worked with on Safety Not Guaranteed. An original script was put forward by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver, however it appears this was dropped following the director and producer's input. Few details of the production or even a basic plotline have been released. 

Jurassic World is due to be released on 12th June 2015.
