Bryan Singer, who is a director, producer, and writer of more than 15 productions, including the 'X-Men' franchise, is being sued and accused of sexual assault.

The 48 year-old was handed a federal lawsuit on Wednesday (April 16th), for allegedly sexually abusing a 17 year-old boy back in 1999.

The abuse apparently occurred at estates in Los Angeles and Kailua, Hawaii, and included rape, forced drug taking and other physical overpowering.

The lawsuit, which The Wrap obtained, names the victim as Michael Egan, a resident of Nevada who grew up in the Midwest and eventually moved with his family to Los Angeles to become an actor.

The now 32 year-old also claims Singer, and other individuals in the movie industry, threatened to kill off his dreams unless he kept them happy.

The graphic suit details how Egan was provided with drugs and alcohol by Singer, who flew him out to Hawaii to perform sexual activities with him on more than one occasion in 1999.

Singer would allegedly "anally rape" the young teen, according to the suit, which also states he wasn't the only underage boy who was abused.

Plaintiff's requests include a jury trial and is also seeking an unknown amount in damages for charges of emotional distress, intentional infliction, battery, assault and invasion of privacy.
