Bruce Willis and Emma Heming-Willis have welcomed a little girl into their lives after Evelyn Penn Willis was born on Monday (5th May). Evelyn is the little sister to Bruce and Emma's other daughter, Mabel, as well as the actor's three other children from his marriage to Demi Moore.

The 59-year-old film star and 35-year-old model brought their new daughter, who weighed in at 8lbs 10oz, into the world in Los Angeles. "Both mother and baby are healthy and doing beautifully," said Willis's representative in a statement. "Mabel is delighted to have a new baby sister."

The couple, who have been married for five years, first announced they were expecting a baby back in December 2013 but the baby's sex was only revealed when Emma gave birth.

On having another girl and being surrounded by so many women, Willis was upbeat: "It's all good. I haven't found a time yet that's bad," he told E! Online last year. "I get to learn a lot more about women than most men do-because it's just me and 20 women around me."

Bruce's other children include Rumer Willis, 25, Scout LaRue Willis, 22, and Tallulah Belle Willis, 19, from ex Demi Moore, and Mabel Ray Willis. It has been pointed out that the actor's tally of five offspring mirrors his Die Hard movie appearances, including Die Hard (1988), Die Hard 2 (1990), Die Hard: With a Vengeance (1995), Live Free or Die Hard (2007) and A Good Day to Die Hard (2013).

Whilst it's unlikely that equalling his number of children with the number of gun-toting action instalments he has starred in was a factor in Willis' choice to make baby number five, it's nice to think that the actor sees both as his life and career-defining achievements.

Willis has spoken highly of being a father in the past, revealing "I've never been as happy as I am now! I feel like a caveman protecting his family, living for his family."
