Sylvester Stallone announced via Twitter that Indiana Jones star Harrison Ford would feature in Expendables 3. The Rocky actor criticised Bruce Willis, describing him as "lazy" and "greedy" following his decision to leave the film franchise.

Willis appeared in the first two Expendables films. The films are notable for casting classic 'tough guy' actors including Arnold Schwarzenegger and Chuck Norris

Posting his comments on Twitter on Tuesday (6th August), Stallone first announced the casting arrangements for Expendables 3, simply stating: "Willis out. Harrison Ford In!" It seems the relationship between Stallone and Willis has been tense for some time, as Stallone added he'd "been waiting years for this!"

Stallone went on to claim Willis is "lazy" and "greedy" and that he was doomed to "career failure" as a result of his decision to leave the franchise. Although the tweets were not directly addressed to Willis, Stallone's representative later confirmed (to the Huffington Post) his remarks were aimed at the Die Hard actor.

Lionsgate Studios, who are financing Expendables 3, have not commented on the casting for the film or on Willis' departure. If Harrison has indeed been cast, he will appear alongside Nicholas Cage and Jackie Chan. The film is due to start filming next month and will be released on 15th November 2014.
