Following their close shave with a speeding drunk driver in Los Angeles on Thursday night (December 4th 2014), Brian Austin Green admits he and wife Megan Fox are very lucky to be alive, let alone uninjured, after the collision.

The pair were driving near Mulholland Drive and Benedict Canyon Drive on the night in question, when another driver who had been drinking - later named as 35-year-old Ignacio Demaria - collided with their vehicle having come from the opposite direction. Nobody was hurt in the accident, and it has been confirmed that Fox and Green - who married in 2010 on Hawaii's Maui island - were not with their young children, 2-year-old Noah Shannah and 9-month-old  Bodhi Ransom.

'It could have ended horribly', 'Anger Management' star Green told Us Weekly during his attendance at the Night of Generosity Gala. 'We were talking about it today, on the way to run errands. I was saying, 'We're really lucky'. He was going 50 miles an hour, and we were going 25 down the street, and we hit head-on. The inertia of that is is life changing.'

Immediately after the crash, Green admits he shook the other driver's hand when it became apparent that their cars 'did their jobs' and their respective airbags saved them from serious injury, however he didn't at first realise the exact circumstances of the collision. 'That being said, he came around the corner very fast. Let alone, I've heard, he had a few drinks', he added.

Soon after the incident, Demaria was arrested for driving under the influence.
