Imagine if you turned on your TV one day and found that, not only was Bob Dylan's timeless 'Like A Rolling Stone' the only thing that was coming out of the speakers, but everyone who appeared on screen was lip-syncing the lyrics to the 1965 track. It would be pretty weird to say the least. This is exactly what happens in the all new interactive video for the Dylan track, which went viral earlier this week.

Not for the first time, Bob is pushing the boundaries of music video

Not only does this mark the first time the much-celebrated song has been given a backing video, but also marks the ever-increasing popularity of interactive music videos as a musicians' resource. The video plays out as a though your computer screen is a TV, and you are sat at home hopping through the channels, with each channel playing something different, but saying (or should that be singing) the same thing. How does it feel? Pretty darn cool actually.

"I'm using the medium of television to look back right at us," director Vania Heymann told Mashable, who first shared the video. "You're flipping yourself to death with switching channels [in real life]."

The Mashable article goes on to state that more channels may be added in the future, but for now there are 16 channels you can enjoy on the web page or on Bob's official website.

The video release coincides with the release of Dylan's 47-CD box set compiling (most of) his work from the early 1960's to the present day. The Complete Album Collection Volume 1 is out now.
