'Big Bang Theory' Production Will Recommence Wednesday After Cast Secure Huge Deal

‘CBS's 'The Big Bang Theory' has now dealt with some behind-the-scenes issues, and production for the show's eight season is expected to get underway on Wednesday (Aug 6th) as the cast have reportedly negotiated new contracts, securing rather large pay rises.

Warner Bros., the producer of 'Big Bang,' announced on July 30th, "due to ongoing contract negotiations, production on 'The Big Bang Theory' - which was originally scheduled to begin today - has been postponed," as Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar, still try to secure new deals.

However, the film studio released a new statement on Tuesday (Aug 5th) that confirmed production of the sitcom’s newest season will begin the following day. “Production on season eight of ‘The Big Bang Theory’ will begin Wednesday, August 6, with contract negotiations now having been concluded,” the statement read.

This past March, CBS ordered three more seasons of 'Big Bang,' and will therefore take the hit show to ten seasons, until the 2016-2017 television calendar, which puts it on the same par as the universally loved sitcom 'Friends'.

And it seems all the original cast will be getting paid the same amount the 'Friends' cast was as well, the main trio in ‘Big Bang,’ Parsons, Galecki and Cuoco-Sweeting secured new three-year deals that are worth approximately $1 million per episode, as well as an amount of the show’s profits.

As season eight is expected premiere on September 22nd, many fans and people within the show will be revealed that the cast have been able to sign new contracts, and this as echoed in executive producer Bill Prady’s tweet, which read, “Well, that’s more good news.”
