Queen Bey's performance was out of this world as she kicked off Made In America Festival with 2 Chainz and Phoenix.
Beyoncé has graced the stage of Made In America in Philadelphia to headline a second day of celebrations at the second annual festival. She was the Saturday headline act and performed for 90 minutes in an energetic set that left the 50,000 strong crowd in awe of the mother-of-one, blasting through hits such as 'Crazy In Love,' 'Halo,' and 'Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It).'
No Human Can Look That Casual Whilst Jumping In Heels.
Striding out on to the MIA stage, Bey immediately put her mark on the festivities, branding the event as her own. "Philly, welcome to Made in America. You are now at the Mrs. Carter Show," she shouted, yelling "Show me how loud you can be" to the compliant and adoring crowd.
Bey's Sumptuous Outfits Didn't Overshadow The Power Of Her Songs.
Towards the end of her set, Beyoncé proclaimed "This has been a beautiful night," whilst a fan shouted back "You're beautiful!" according to the NY Daily News.
The Festival Performance Packed A Punch.
Beyoncé's pixie hair do that made the news a few weeks ago was nowhere to be seen as 'Mrs. Carter' shook her trademark honey weave throughout her legendary dance routines. She showed off her impressive back catalogue over the hour and a half, showing how much her career and sound have developed. However, her final song paid tribute to the late Whitney Houston, who would have been 50 recently, with Beyoncé singing a rendition of 'I Will Always Love You.'
Bey Made The Festival Her Own.
Described as "divine" by Billboard, 'Queen Bey' pulled off an astonishing series of costume changes, including a midnight sequinned catsuit, a racy playsuit imbued with lace embellishments, and a lycra leotard festooned with gold embroidery. She looked every inch the superstar as her outfits dazzled alongside her high energy, yet often intimate performance.
Fans Danced And Sang As Beyoncé Gave An Out Of This World Show.
The 31 year-old, who has delighted leagues of fans on her recent Mrs. Carter world tour, stuck to her existing songs and didn't debut any new tracks. Although the festival is curated by her rapper husband Jay Z, the producer did not assist his wife with performances as he did at her recent sold out Barclay's Center concerts. Beyoncé's sister, Solange also played on the Sunday but performed at a Saturday night afterparty at the Theater of Living Arts.
Beyoncé Gave A Performance To Remember.
Also performing on the Saturday were Phoenix, Deadmau5, Imagine Dragons, Haim, Emeli Sandé and A$AP Rocky. See more photos of Beyoncé's Made In America performance in our gallery.
