BBC Banking Debate Disrupted By A Very Cheeky Queen Song [Video]

Nick Robinson managed to ruin a tense debate about banking bonuses on BBC2's Daily Politics after his tablet began randomly blaring out a Queen hit.

The BBC political editor was left red-faced when a debate between Labour MP Caroline Flint and Conservative MP Shailesh Vara about the issue of bankers being paid exceedingly large bonuses was suddenly interrupted by Queen's 'Fat Bottomed Girls' coming from his tablet. 'So people are paid really good salaries in this profession, they also -' Caroline was saying before being cut off by the music, with broadcaster Andrew Neil confusedly searching for the noise source.

'I'm going to turn it off before the really embarrassing lyric starts', said Nick, realising it was his own device as Freddie Mercury boomed, 'Ohhhhh, you gonna take me home tonight/ Ohhhhh down beside that red fire light'.

After the incident, Caroline frantically tried to continue what she was saying about banking, while Nick jokingly asked those in the vicinity if they knew what the next lyric was with a very cheeky grin on his face.

In case you didn't know and were wondering, said lyrics were, 'Oh you gonna let it all hang out/ Fat bottomed girls you make the rocking world go round'. Awkward!
