Both Arianna Grande and her brother Frankie recently used their respective outlets to voice their grief over the loss of their grandfather. On Tuesday, Arianna took to Twitter with a heartfelt message. The singer wrote: “I lost you to the summer wind.”

In the wake of her grandfather's passing, Grande sought support from her Twitter followers.

Since then, she has been posting photos of her grandfather, Frank, alone and with her grandmother, alongside messages of love and gratitude to her friends and fans. Afterwards, she made the the trip to New York shortly after his tragic passing, to appear on Good Morning America on Wednesday, July 24. The 21-year-old revealed that it was her beloved grandparent’s words that kept her motivated.

"Thaaaanks to my best friends who stayed up with me all night talking and helped me pull myself together temporarily this am," she wrote. "Only reason I made this twelve hour trip is grandps told me he wanted me to always be professional & fulfill my business commitments."

Meanwhile, her brother Frankie received the news in front of the cameras of Big Brother. Since he was in the BB house at the time and unable to join his family during the difficult moment, he got the news via a handwritten letter from his loved ones. Frank read the letter outloud, with Ariana later tweeting that she had been strongly affected by the sight.
