Angus T. Jones Slams 'Two And A Half Men' After Finding Christianity: "I Was A Paid Hypocrite"

Angus T. Jones has been on the beloved US sitcom 'Two and a Half Men' since 2003, and was once one of the highest-paid actors on TV.

But the 20 year-old doesn't have any regrets about walking away from such a lucrative deal.

It has been little over a year since a video emerged online of Jones slamming the show that made him a star, he branded it as "filth" and urged viewers to stop watching.

Since then, CBS downgraded his part as 'Jake Harper' to just a recurring role, but Jones has yet to feature in the show's 11th season which is currently being aired.

So what has the former child-actor been up to in his newly found spare time?

Jones has travelled the country, visiting different churches and ministries to rediscover his faith, which he admits made his part in the show an issue.

"It was difficult for me to be on the show and be part of something that was making light of topics in our world where there are really problems for a lot of people," Jones said in an interview with Houston's KHOU TV. "I was a paid hypocrite because I wasn't OK with it and I was still doing it."

Jones also admitted to regretting insulting Chuck Lorre's television creation so severly, and now feels he should have approached it differently.

"That's his like baby and I just totally insulted his baby and to that degree I am apologetic but otherwise I don't regret saying what I said," he said.

Angus is now attending school in Colorado and has become a dedicated follower of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. He spoke to parishioners World Harvest Outreach Church in Houston on Saturday (March 15th), to tell his story of finding God.

Although acting isn't Jones' priority right now, the Austin native said he may star in religious-themed productions in the future.

"There's a few different productions that like do kind of Bible-based stories. Stuff like that," said Jones.
