Here she is, your woman of the year.
Angelina Jolie is TIME’s Woman of the Year for 2014. Congratulations. Great. Good. After directing her second movie, starring in Disney’s Maleficent and speaking at the UN Summit, you’d think she’d have quite a few tales of battle to share in her interview.

Instead, a lot of it seems to be centred around her family. After all, the Jolie-Pitt matriarch is known as a devoted mother, first and foremost. But she definitely isn’t a conservative one. For example, this is what Ang had to say about tattoos:
"They're already asking me about tattoos," the actress, 39, told the Radio Times. "How do I say 'No'? It's especially hard for dads and girls. For some reason, men get a little more sensitive when the daughter gets a tattoo. And [Brad Pitt] thinks the girls can do no wrong. He's mush in their hands!"

See? Liberal. They feel similarly when it comes to their children going into acting too. "We've always said, if they want to act, we won't let them only act, because it's not enough," the UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador said. "They'll have to find a real job at the same time. But I'm hoping that when they see all the other things in the world, they'll be inspired to be writers, politicians, activists."
"They're very individual people," she said, "so I imagine they're not going to follow their mom and dad."
