The trailer for 'Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues' has been released and it is time, after nearly a decade of waiting, for the much anticipated sequel to hit the big screen. The new clip hit the web on Wednesday (24th) and now the speculation begins, can Ron Burgundy and his news team deliver another hilarious comedy sensation?

The upcoming sequel features a ton of a-list stars making cameo appearances from Jim Carrey, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Liam Neeson, Kanye West, Sacha Baron Cohen, Nicole Kidman, Drake, Kristen Wiig, Greg Kinnear, and the members of Green Day. It also stars Harrison Ford and James Marsden predominantly who, by what is indicated in the trailer, are not fans of the returning channel 4 news team.

The team travel from San Diego to New York City to work for the first ever 24 hour news channel, where traditional journalistic decorum does not mean a thing. Ron and fellow news anchor Brian Fantana are pulling out all the stops to better their ratings and in the trailer we see them smoke crack live on air. This outrageous and daring form of newsroom behaviour is to battle against Ron's wife and practiser of traditional journalistic forms, Veronica Corningstone.

Their relationship is obviously broken in the sequel and questions will also be answered on what went wrong, but first indications suggest Veronica, once again, screwed Ron out of a job and put her professional life first by landing a big gig.

The trailer also introduces a new stern, business minded female new anchor played by Meagan Good. But this time it isn't the fact that she is a women that confuses Ron, it is that she is an African American. Mr Burgundy, in an attempt to get closer to Good, finds himself making inappropriate remarks though out the movie towards her, even though he doesn't realise it.

Brick is back and funnier than ever as fans learn that he has a fear of the green screen and attends his own funeral thinking he is dead, thankfully the clueless weatherman isn't!

A scene in the trailer that will either offend you, make you cringe or make you laugh but it does give an indication that the socially awkward and fairly stupid news team will take a while to get used to the cosmopolitan city.

Brick, Champ, Ron and Brian welcome a new member to the news channel, who happens to be gay. They cannot come to grips with the homosexual man and ask him a flurry of questions; You're not black or Asian, what are you?" asks Ron. "Im gay," the new staff member replies. "Do you sleep in a coffin?" "Are you allowed out in the sun?" and "Are you a vampire?"

The cast is excessive but hopefully it will not divert from the original news team which fans unanimously loved in the 2004 film.
