'American Idol' Alum Kelly Clarkson Gives Birth To Baby Girl
The 32 year-old singer and husband Brandon Blackstock named their newly-born daughter, River Rose Blackstock
Kelly Clarkson is now a mother!
The 'American Idol' alum gave birth to a healthy baby girl on Thursday (June 12th).
This is Clarkson and husband Brandon Blackstock's first child together, but she is already a step-mother to her beau's two children from a previous relationship.
The 32 year-old singer revealed the good news to her fans on Twitter.
"Our baby girl River Rose Blackstock arrived on June 12th!" she posted. "Thank you everyone for all of your well wishes! Brandon and I are on cloud 9!!"
Clarkson announced her pregnancy news back in November (2013).
"I'm pregnant!!! Brandon and I are so excited!" she tweeted on November 19th. "Best early Christmas present ever :)"
Then only two months later the 'Stronger' singer took to Twitter once again to inform her 9.7 million followers the gender of the baby.
"We just found out we're having a girl officially!" she posted on Monday (Jan 20th). "I knew it! Only a girl could cause this much drama with all this vomiting ha!"
Although Clarkson remained low-key throughout most of her pregnancy, while appearing on the 'Ellen DeGeneres Show' last December she revealed her struggles with adjusting to morning sickness.
"I vomit a dozen times a day. It's like bad. I vomited before coming out here," she admitted. "It's so bad. It's, like, so gross. You're not attractive when you're pregnant. Everybody tells you [that] you glow and your hair is pretty and your nails are pretty. That's total crap."
However, the 'Because of You' singer seemed to have found a solution to tackle this issue, but it may seem quite bizarre.
On January 12th, Clarkson tweeted, "Ladies if you r pregnant & sick as a dog trust me when I say the one thing u will keep down might just be "baked potatoes" #godblesspotatoes."
Congratulations to the happy couple.
