Alec Baldwin's Daughter Defends The Actor As He Threatens To Leave The Entertainment Industry
Alec Baldwin's daughter, Ireland, defends her father after anti-gay slur criticism: "For someone who has battled with anger management issues, my dad has grown tremendously."
Alec Baldwin's week has been far from easy but at least one person out there isn't trying to ruin the man's career.
The 55 year-old's daughter has come out to defend her father after he has received a rather large amount of criticism for using an anti-gay slur against a photographer who tried dot take a snap of his wife and child.
18 year-old Ireland Baldwin, like her father, took to twitter air out her frustration with the situation.
On Saturday (Nov 16th) Ireland tweeted, "It takes a lot of strength for someone to release their anger, it takes a lot of strength and SUPPORT for someone to grow and become a better person. We all say things we don't mean. We all say things we can't take back."
The rant continued, "From what you've read and from what media has been shoved down your throats, he has a kind heart. My dad is far from a homophobe or a racist. For someone who has battled with anger management issues, my dad has grown tremendously."
TMZ captured the video that surfaced online of Baldwin branding a member of the paparazzi a "c**ksucking f*g."
The '30 Rock' actor appeared very angry which is understandable as he has been in a New York City courtroom all week, testifying against Canadian actress, Genevieve Sabourin, in a stalker case.
The accused Sabourin, who claimed to have had an affair with Baldwin, was found guilty of stalking the actor and a judge sentenced her to six months behind bars.
The celebrations of this victory in court didn't last long as Mr Baldwin's homophobic slur caused the television network MSNBC suspended his new late night chat show 'Up Late With Alec Baldwin'.
This might be the last star for the Emmy award winner as he recently published a lengthy column in The Huffington Post, where he wrote, "If quitting the television business, the movie business, the theatre, any component of entertainment, is necessary in order to bring safety and peace to my family, then that is an easy decision."
Hopefully this will not happen!
