Check out the trailer for the black comedy below
The film adaptation of Nick Hornby’s dark comedy A Long Way Down now has a trailer. Directed by Pascal Chaumeil, the film features Pierce Brosnan, Toni Collette, Aaron Paul and Imogen Poots.
A Long Way Down hits cinemas on March 21st
The four unlikely friends meet when attempting to commit suicide on top of a tall building on New Year’s Eve.
The disgraced chat show host single mother, failed musician and a troubled teenager all forge an alliance together: no suicides until February 14th.
Their lives change as a result of not ending them, obviously. But instead of carrying on as they were, fame and new feelings hit our four protagonists due to their decision to hold on for life.

Nick Hornby’s story, which surrounds depression and suicide, is surprisingly uplifting, probably considering the support group formed by these four ostensibly different strangers.
Lots of attention has been paid to Aaron Paul’s role in the film. He, of course, shot to prominence with his award-winning turn as Jesse Pinkman in AMC’s monolithic meth drama, Breaking Bad. That tied up its fifth and final series late last year, leaving Paul with a big reputation to fulfil.

He wasn’t originally cast in the movie though; Emile Hirsch was on board to play JJ, but when scheduling issues caused him to vacate the role, Paul was enlisted to take his place, proving to be a big coup for BBC and Lionsgate.
Rounding out the supporting cast are Sam Neill, Rosamund Pike – who worked with Brosnan on The World’s End - and Tuppence Middleton. A Long Way Down will have its world premiere at the Berlin Film Festival next month. The film will then be released on March 21 in the UK, with a US release date yet to be set.
Be warned for this joke: "Is this was Jesse Pinkman did after Breaking Bad?"
