Strictly Come Dancing couple Kara Tointon and Artem Chigvintsev's relationship is reportedly on the rocks, according to new rumours suggesting the love between the showbiz pair has fizzled out.

Kara Has Managed To Remain Looking Positive Throughout Her Alleged Relationship Struggles.

The former EastEnders actress and the dance trainer met when Kara signed up to BBC's Strictly Come Dancing celebrity talent contest in 2010 and have dated ever since. However, apparently now their relationship has run its natural course and the couple are ready to split after a rocky few months.

Artem Is Planning On Moving To L.A...And Kara Won't Be Joining Him.

A source told the Daily Mirror: "Things have been a bit rocky between them now for a good few months but they have tried to work through their problems." Though neither of the two have confirmed the rumours, 31 year-old Artem has reportedly spoken to his friends about an imminent split from Kara. "Neither wanted to throw the towel in but Artem has confided in pals that they actually called time on their romance a few months ago. They simply drifted apart."

"They remain great friends and Artem is still living at Kara's. And, to the outside word, they are putting on a front, insisting all is well at least until 'Strictly' finishes," the source added. Rumour has it that tensions may have arisen between the pair after Artem was paired with former Coronation Street actress Natalie Gumede in the current Strictly series and it was previously reported that Kara was jealous of their close relationship.

The 'Strictly' Couple's Magnetic Attraction May Have Waned.

Artem is known to throw everything he has - time and energy - into the competition and this may have impacted upon his closeness to Kara. If the 30 year-old English belle was feeling bad over her relationship problems, she certainly didn't show it last night English National Ballet's Christmas party where the glamorous star posed for the cameras and mingled with her showbiz friends seemingly without a care in the world.

Kara and Artem are still believed to be sharing their London home but when Chigvintsev head of to Los Angeles in the Spring, Kara apparently won't be joining him. Neither Kara not Artem have commented publically on the rumours.
