'The Tomb' producer is ''thrilled'' to have acquired the services of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone for the movie.
Mark Canton is delighted to be creating the prison movie with the pair of "icons" and he believes they are the "perfect" actors to be starring in the film.
He said in a statement: "I am thrilled to be making 'The Tomb' with two film icons - Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger. It is the perfect pairing for this high octane thriller."
Arnold is set to star as a prison inmate called Church who helps other inmates to stay alive, while Sylvester is in line to portray the role of structural security expert and prison designer Ray Bresli, who is faced with The Proposition of escaping from a jail he's designed.
The 'Terminator' actor and the 'Rocky' star are both set to undergo shoulder surgery after working together on 'The Expendables 2', and Arnold has taken to his WhoSay account to post a picture of the pair next to each other in hospital beds.
In a message accompanying the picture, he wrote: "After all the action, stunts & physical abuse shooting 'The Expendables 2' and 'The Last Stand', it was time for a little tune up on my shoulder.
"Look who was coincidentally waiting in line behind me for his shoulder surgery. Now we're ready for another round of great times and action when we shoot 'The Tomb'. Great to be back. (sic)"
