Hollywood superstar Arnold Schwarzenegger has accepted an invitation to attend the Conservative Party Conference in Blackpool, north-west England later this year (OCT07).
The Terminator star-turned-California Governor's planned appearance at the UK political party's annual conference is a coup for Conservative party leader DAVID CAMERON, as Schwarzenegger was thought to have a good relationship with British Prime Minister, and Cameron's political rival, Tony Blair.
Schwarzenegger praised Blair on a recent TV debate, calling him a "real action hero" on climate change.
However, Cameron says, "I am delighted that Governor Schwarzenegger has accepted my invitation. He led a dramatic revival of his party's fortune in California and, as Governor, has shown tremendous leadership, above all in pioneering measure to protect the environment, reaching out to political opponents in doing so."
