California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger will visit Japan to promote his state.

The former actor sees himself as the Golden State's "salesman" and will spend three days in Toyko, meeting politicians and encouraging businesses to invest in California - which is the world's fifth biggest economy, even though it's suffering severe financial problems.

A source says, "No schedule has yet been finalised but the trip is definitely business-focused."
