Arnold Schwarzenegger met the man he will replace as California Governor in Sacramento yesterday (23OCT03) - and wishes the world could have heard their chat.

Arnie and GRAY DAVIS spent 90 minutes together at the governor's residence in the state capital, and the movie star admits he was impressed the two could be good friends.

He says, "It would have been great to have a bug planted in there so you could listen. It could have been a hit TV show.

"We were basically talking about the transition team and the challenges that face a governor. He gave me a lot of inside information."

Schwarzenegger will officially take over from Davis on 17 November (03).
