Arnold Schwarzenegger re-vamps the zombie genre with a touching horror drama based on the unconditional love between a father and daughter during a time of global crisis. 'Maggie' is the directorial feature debut of designer Henry Hobson.
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Abigail Breslin in 'Maggie'
It goes without saying that the zombie genre is getting a bit tired. Various films in recent years have attempted to shake things up a bit; the 'zom-com' was created with the likes of 'Warm Bodies' and 'Life After Beth', and Brad Pitt took the whole idea to its maximum with his chilling film adaptation of 'World War Z'. However, we think 'Maggie', produced by and starring 'The Terminator' himself, really goes that extra mile as it hones in on the development of a disease in one young girl, and explores the effect it has on her family.
In the near future, the world has been ravaged by a terrifying zombie plague. With the outbreak dying down, the world is steadily trying its best to return to normal, but quarantine zones still exist. One day, Maggie (Abigail Breslin) leaves he father behind, despite his constant attempts to keep her safe. This time, however, Maggie is keeping him safe. As Wade (Arnold Schwarzenegger) does his best to track Maggie down, he soon learns that she has been infected by the plague, and had to move to the quarantine zone in order to allow him to continue his normal life. But unable to let his daughter go, nothing will ever be the same for Wade again.

No Miley, there’s not a ’t’ in it.
There’s always a lot to learn about your partner at the beginning of any relationship, but for Miley Cyrus spelling her boyfriend Patrick Schwarzenegger’s surname is proving to be the hardest hurdle to overcome. Appearing on ‘Good Morning America’ the singer revealed she couldn’t spell her new beau’s last name, while promoting her new MAC cosmetics collaboration.
Miley Cyrus is finding her new boyfriend's surname particularly tricky
When asked if she had grasped the spelling of Patrick’s famous surname yet, Cyrus said "Literally, I just had this conversation, I can't tell you. ” Before joking, "apparently there's not a T in it.”

Looks like Patrick Schwarzenegger's mother is less than happy with Miley's antics.
Miley Cyrus has reportedly been banned from all high-profile Kennedy events by her new beau Patrick Schwarzenegger's mother Maria Shriver, as she apparently continues to be unhappy with the couple's relationship.
Miley Cyrus refused access to Kennedy events
Poor Miley never gets a break! The 'Wrecking Ball' singer - known for her sexually charged on-stage antics, twerking talents and, regrettably, open use of marijuana - has already been rejected by her new boyfriend's family, for reasons that have not yet been confirmed. For those who don't know the Schwarzenegger-Shriver-Kennedy family tree, Maria Shriver is the daughter of Eunice Kennedy which makes her uncle the former President John F. Kennedy. While this should mean that Miley is onto a good thing dating into such a high-profile family, sources suggest she's less than welcome.
'Terminator: Genisys' completely re-writes the events of 'The Terminator'.
Arnold Schwarzenegger returns for 'Terminator: Genisys'
The whole story that Kyle relayed to Sarah about his journey back in time from 2029 after being assigned the mission of protecting her by her future son John Connor is brought to life in 'Terminator: Genisys', and while you're sitting there thinking you know what happens next (we've all seen 1984's original flick 'The Terminator'), 'Genisys' turns everything you know onto its head.
'Terminator' star Schwarzenegger made a Leeds charity event an unforgettable one by helping a fan propose to his girlfriend.
It can be a difficult thing for people, wondering how best to pop the question to their other half, but for one 29-year-old there was only one way, and that was alongside his ultimate idol Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Arnold Schwarzenegger visited his Leeds fans at UK charity event
The brawny 'Terminator' star appeared at a charity event at the Elland Road football stadium in Leeds for a one-off public appearance talking to Jonathan Ross about his life and career. While adoring fans filled the venue, Arnold Schwarzenegger was not too shy to show his loveable side and invited couple Dean Goulding and Jessica Eddy to come up on stage after his set for one of the most precious moments of their lives. The couple - who both happen to be enormous fans of the body-building actor - looked starstruck and overwhelmed as they became engaged.

Jeez, Paramount Pictures aren't doing themselves any favors with 'Terminator: Genisys'.
Ok, so Terminator: Genisys may turn out to be one of the finest action sci-fi movies of recent times when it's released next year but my god Paramount are doing things the hard way. Firstly, the whole Genisys thing turned out not be a joke at all and is actually the title of the film, and then Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney, Matt Smith and Jason Clarke got cast.
Jason Clarke stars in 'Terminator: Genisys', set for release next year
And now these. Entertainment Weekly released the first official images from the movie on Wednesday (October 29, 2014) and the Twittersphere gobbled them up, chewed them up and spat them out.
Two more 'Terminator' films are planned for the rebooted franchise, and will be filmed back to back with release dates in 2017 and 2018.
There has finally been confirmation that Paramount Pictures are pursuing two more 'Terminator' movies to follow the first instalment of the rebooted franchise, 'Terminator: Genisys,' which is scheduled for release July 1st, 2015.
Schwarzenegger will return to star in the rebooted franchise
The forthcoming sequels, which are simply titled 'Terminator 2' and 'Terminator 3', will hit theatres on May 19th, 2017, and June 29th, 2018, according to The Hollywood Reporter, who also claim the flicks will be shot back to back if 'Genisys' is a success.

‘Terminator: Genisys’ might still be just under a year away, but that hasn't stopped Paramount from announcing release dates for its two sequels.
Next summer Terminator will become the latest franchise to be resurrected when Terminator: Genisys hits cinemas on July 1st. The film will be the first in a series of three stand alone movies, which will see the franchise rebooted and new characters added.
Terminator Genisys will hit cinemas on July 1st 2015
Now Paramount has announced the release dates for part two and three of the trilogy which will reportedly be filmed back to back. Terminator 2, as it is currently known has been slated for May 19, 2017, followed by Terminator 3 on June 29, 2018.
Striking a tone somewhere between the po-faced original and the silly Part 2, this rampaging action nonsense is badly overcrowded and chaotic, but there's plenty of comedy and whizzy stuntwork to keep the audience entertained. It of course helps a lot that the film is packed to the rafters with iconic actors and lively newcomers. And their sassy dialogue helps make up for the idiotic plot.
It opens with a prison break, as Barney (Sylvester Stallone) and his team (Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture and Terry Crews) rescue their old cohort Doc (Wesley Snipes) then head off on a mysterious mission that turns out to involve their presumed-dead nemesis Stonebanks (Mel Gibson), who is targeting Barney's team. So Barney and his pal Bonaparte (Kelsey Grammer) set about finding four new commandoes (Kellan Lutz, Ronda Rousey, Glen Powell and Victor Ortiz) to take on Stonebanks, but of course nothing goes as plan. For the final face-off they're joined by the old team, CIA boss Drummer (Harrison Ford), former colleagues Trench and Yin (Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jet Li), and chatty newcomer Galgo (Antonio Banderas).
The ever-increasing cast means that some characters can't help but be pushed into the shadows (Crews and Li are barely in this film), while others hover around the edges of scenes injecting moments of sarcastic wit. Each of the characters gets his or her moment of eye-popping action, as the film lurches from set-piece to set-piece in a whirl of bombs, bullets and blades. All of this is fun because the actors are gleefully refusing to take any of this seriously. The scene-stealers this time are Gibson, terrific as the swaggering villain, and Banderas, who's hilarious as the only person who can string a sentence together.

Big news from the "Terminator" set... more or less.
As fans of Arnold Schwarzeneggerwill probably know, The Governator will reprise his iconic role in next year’s Terminator: Genesis. Well, here’s an unexpected change – the movie isn’t called Terminator: Genesis already. It’s not a drastic change, but apparently the film has been re-titled to Terminator: Genesys.

The bizarre piece of news was announced via Schwarzenegger’s Instagram (if you’re not following him already, you really should). Arnie (or whoever is managing his social media, more likely) posted a picture of himself, sitting in a seat with Terminator: Genesys in the back.

Arnold Schwarzenegger gets one of his most complex roles yet in this messy, violent thriller, another trip to the dark side for filmmaker David Ayer. As in Training Day and End of Watch, Ayer is exploring that moral tipping point where the people charged with protecting society become a danger. But the formula sags badly in this sloppily written script, which relies on grotesque violence instead of a coherent plot.
Schwarzenegger plays Breacher, the head of an elite DEA squad that has just stolen $10m in drug-bust cash. But someone takes it from them, after which the team members start turning up murdered in increasingly vicious ways. So Breacher and his colleagues - hothead Monster (Sam Worthington), prickly Lizzy (Mireille Enos), beefy Grinder (Joe Manganiello), hotshot Next (Josh Holloway) and smoothie Sugar (Terrence Howard) - band together to find the killer. Meanwhile, two local Atlanta cops (Olivia Williams and Harold Perrineau) are also on the case, clashing with Breacher at every turn. And shadowy goons hired by a drug cartel are lying in wait.
For about two-thirds of the running time, this is actually an intriguing whodunit, complete with clues and red herrings, suspicions and surprises. There's also a sense of urgency, as we never know who's going to get it next. Although the escalating grisliness is hard to stomach (it even reduces seasoned cops to retching wrecks), as is a hint of unnecessary romance. Then when the truth is revealed, the whole movie collapses into utter nonsense, desperately straining for moral resonance but undermining its own point with gratuitous brutality.

As expected, Sabotage didn't strike a chord with the critics
Arnold Schwarzenegger has become a comedy item in the world of cinema; a pastiche trophy wheeled out next to similar fallen legends for fiscal purposes and fiscal purposes alone. But this isn’t right; Arnie should be considered a staple of the Hollywood legends club for bringing to life some truly memorable characters, without, it would seem, an iota of genuine acting nous.
