'Sam & Cat' Is Done - What's Next For Jennette McCurdy and Ariana Grande? - Comments and Message Board

I personally think it is the best thing for Ariana Grande but not so sure about Jennette McCurdy. You can always tell which people have the "it" factor and I think Ariana definitely has it but I'm not so sure about Jennette. In my opinion people like Hilary Duff, Miranda Cosgrove, Jennette McCurdy etc need to stay on Nick or Disney as long as they can because they will probably have trouble finding high success outside of it. Then you have people like Victoria Justice, Ariana Grande, Bridgit Mendler etc that become too big for their respective shows and need to get out to reach their full potential. Again just my opinion but I think this will be good for Ariana and who knows, maybe I'm wrong and Jennette will do well as well.

nickelodeon pay is pretty good and mccurdy is a millionaire (3 million or more actually), so even if she can't get an acting job or decides enough is enough, she won't be hurting.

Jennette was at Nick in a very comfortable position where she got her contract extended year after year never feeling any competition. It think it will not be easy for her to find her way in the rough world outside. It will be for her much more difficult than for Ariana, who is used to the murderous competition at Broadway.

Jennette is actually doing an episode of The Birthday Boys and that's really the only project people know for now.
