Soul singer Aretha Franklin has cancelled an upcoming concert in Charlottesville, Virginia amid health concerns.
Franklin, 68, was initially scheduled to perform at the city's Paramount Theater on 1 October (10) but rescheduled the concert for this Wednesday (27Oct10) after her son, Eddie Franklin, was beaten at a Detroit, Michigan gas station.
According to The Daily Progress, the singer has now called off Wednesday's rescheduled show on the advice of her doctors.
Theatre officials have offered refunds to ticketholders.
