Aretha Franklin fully savoured the all-female tribute performance for her at Sunday's (13Feb11) Grammy Awards, revealing she tuned in to the show while eating a banana pudding.
Jennifer Hudson, Christina Aguilera, Martina MCbride, Florence Welch And Yolanda Adams kicked off the 2011 telecast with a rousing performance of the Queen of Soul's greatest hits, including Think, Respect and Until You Come Back To Me (That's What I'm Gonna Do).
Franklin, who was at home recovering from a mystery illness, sent a video message to the female singers, and the star has now revealed she stayed in with a tasty treat to fully enjoy the performance in her honour.
She tells CNN, "A friend of mine... made me a banana pudding and I was sitting right in front of my flat screen watching everything and loving it.
"I really loved what Yolanda Adams did with Spirit in the Dark and Christina Aguilera was into it and Jennifer (Hudson) was good… Everybody was good!"
