Billy Corgan is writing his autobiography.
The Smashing Pumpkins frontman has promised to give a truthful account of his life in the band - of which he is the only remaining original member - including addressing the tensions between himself and former bandmates D'Arcy Wretzky, James Iha and Jimmy Chamberlin.
He said: ''I'm about 75 per cent through. It explains some of the dynamic between us more accurately, but even then it's just my take on it.''

The rocker is behind bars after missing a series of court appearances in relation to a 2009 animals running at large charge, after her horses broke free from her farm in Michigan.
Wretzky was cited for the incident but forgot to pay the fine and then skipped four consecutive court dates, leading to her arrest this week (begs07Feb11).
But the bassist's neighbour, Debra Beebe, is baffled by the charge because the star's horses have only escaped from their enclosure once, and she's confident the incident has been blown out of proportion.

The rocker is behind bars after missing a series of court appearances in relation to a 2009 animals running large charge.
Wretzky was reportedly cited after horses on her farm broke free and hit the highway, prompting her neighbours to call the police to round them up.
The former Pumpkins bassist forgot to pay the fine and then missed four consecutive court dates, which resulted in a bench warrant for her arrest.

Corgan debuted Spirits In The Sky for a July (09) tribute concert for late rocker Sky Saxon, and now he's keen to make sure it wasn't a one-off by scheduling six Los Angeles shows at the end of the month (Aug09).
The group features new Pumpkins drummer Mike Byrne, Electric Prunes bassist Mark Tulin, the Strawberry Alarm Clock’s keyboard player Mark Weitz and Wretzky's ex Kerry Brown.
Smashing Pumpkins lead singer Billy Corgan has confirmed the band will release a new album and tour later this year (07).
The TODAY singer posted a message on his MySpace web page announcing the band's plans, but did not say whether or not founding members JAMES IHA and D'Arcy Wretzky would be joining him and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin.
Corgan wrote, "This year for us will see a new album of songs and a world tour of tears, and we truly look forward to playing again for fans young, old and missed.
"Tunes are being dusted off, while others are being asked to kindly submit to an upstart millennia and all it's asking.
"When we opened the lid on this music box, we were pleasantly surprised at the music that played: familiar yet unknown, welcoming but not sentimental."
The legitimacy of four 'leaked' new Smashing Pumpkins songs has been thrown into doubt, because fans are convinced the singer on THE BAKER DEMOS is not Billy Corgan.
The tracks COLLAPSING CITIES, THE RESTLESS WORLD, SIAM MAIS and IN THE EYES BEHOLDING have appeared on numerous file-sharing websites, and claim to originate from sessions recorded by Corgan, drummer Jimmy Chamberlain and Queen producer ROY THOMAS BAKER.
But MTV reports that many fans have snubbed the "leak" because they believe it's a hoax, especially because it remains unclear if founding guitarist JAMES IDA and bassist D'Arcy Wretzky will join the reunion.
Reformed rockers Smashing Pumpkins have begun work on their first album in seven years, according to a post on the group's official website.
The short message confirms the group is in the studio with producer ROY THOMAS BAKER, who is best known for his work with theatrical rockers Queen and the DARKNESS.
But the website posting doesn't reveal the new Pumpkins line-up. Only frontman Billy Corgan and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin are confirmed in the line-up.
The four-piece split acrimoniously in 2000, but Corgan offered fans hope last summer (05) when he took out a full-page ad in the Chicago Tribune and Sun-Times newspaper announcing his plans to reform the group.
It is not known if guitarist JAMES IHA and bassist D'Arcy Wretzky have been welcomed back to the line-up.
It joins '10 Cloverfield Lane' and the upcoming ghost story 'The Conjuring 2'.
'Star Wars', 'Watership Down'... it's a busy year for this fledgling star.
