Arcade Fire frontman Win Butler has claimed he is not interested in forging a solo career.

The band has received much acclaim, with their last album NEON BIBLE reaching the number two slot on the UK and US charts.

However, the singer said the success has not tempted him to branch out on his own as he enjoys the band experience too much.

"I've never been interested in being a solo artist. In high school, there was no point where the idea of not having a band to play with me, or that whole thing, never appealed to me in the slightest," he told Uncut magazine.

He added that material which comes from the collective is "so much better" than what any of them could produce individually.

Meanwhile, Butler recently said that attending the Grammys in 2006 was not as enjoyable as he had hoped.

"It's this total crush of humanity trying to get hotdogs. It was a horrifying experience," he said.
