Scottish band Arab Strap have lost thousands of dollars in cash after a robber made off with their tour manager's purse. The group, comprising AIDAN MOFFAT and Malcolm Middleton, were on tour in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, when $6,000 (GBP3,400) was stolen while the band enjoyed a meal at a local restaurant. Arab Strap had performed at Philadelphia venue The Khyber on Sunday (09APR06) as part of their 19-date US and Canada tour. It is the second time Arab Strap have been hit by crime while on the road. Last month (MAR06), the band's support act A WHISPER IN THE NOISE were held up and attacked in Seattle, Washington, also in a robbery, MTV reports.
