The Welsh-born actor hates having to rework his preparation to fit in script changes and so he tackled Bruckheimer on his constant meddling.
He recalls, "I said to him one day, 'Why do you do this? To torture us? I just want you to know when you send me these new pages I throw them in the trash.' People were shocked."
Meanwhile, Hopkins has recently patched up his differences with Roger Donaldson, who directed the actor in THE BOUNTY in the early 1980s, and now plans to make a new movie with him in New Zealand.
He adds, "We had our differences... We were both in our feisty youth. Then I met him at a party and we decided to let bygones be bygones."
