After stints in TV and music, Ant and Dec have forged a career as the most in-demand light entertainment presenters in the UK and present shows including I'm A Celebrity, Britain's Got Talent and Saturday Night Takeaway. According to the Mirror, the pair's most recent filed accounts show their staggering wealth.

A TV source told the paper: "It's little surprise they are raking it in given they are fronting three of the biggest and most popular shows on TV, with huge ratings to boot.

"For the big cheeses at the top of ITV, they are worth every penny."

The former child stars are believed to have entered into a "golden handcuffs" deal with ITV, meaning the company has exclusive rights to the presenters until 2016. According to reports, the pair are close to signing a deal to sell off the lucrative rights for Saturday Night Takeway to US network NBC.

However, the Geordie pair's contract with supermarket Morrisons was terminated in March after the Bradford-based retailer decided to focus on its core message of the quality and value of its product. With annual profits down more than 50 per cent, Morrisons is looking to get back to basics though could look to go down the route of inspiring credibility, as Jamie Oliver did for Sainsbury's.
